WELCOME TO SPERLING & CO

This autumn, the glass doors at Sturegatan 6 will open. That’s when Michael Andersson fires up the grill and introduces his new restaurant, Sperling & Co.

Rooted in European grilling traditions but shaped by the present, Sperling & Co places the grill at its core and showcases a range of cuts—from the classic and familiar to the rare and unexpected—all cooked over open embers. The menu moves freely between origins and techniques, with an international character that’s reflected in everything from starters and sides to the grill itself. The wine list focuses on the Old World and the United States.

MICHAEL ANDERSSON

Michael Andersson, 36, was named Chef of the Year 2024, thereby becoming the Swedish champion in professional cooking.
In his debut in the competition, he scored the highest points in the semi-final and went on to win the final with a total of 776 points.

Michael has previously served as head chef at the Michelin-starred restaurant Celeste in Stockholm. He also runs his own company, Petit Gastronomi, which focuses on high-level cuisine.
